Henry John Kraft, son of Peter and Margaret Kraft was born July 6, 1890 at Grafton. He died on Sunday, December 29, 1968 at the Howard County Community Hospital at the age of 78 years.
In 1899 he came with his parents to the Wolbach area. He was united in marriage to Lavina Thayer on March 12, 1919 at Wolbach. The couple farmed near Wolbach until 1950, when they moved into Wolbach, where Mr. Kraft was employed by the local telephone company.
He and his wife Lavina had provided a home for Clyde, Edwin and Margaret Kraft, children of the late Carl Charles Kraft.
Mourning his passing are his widow; a sister, Mrs. Maggie Moser of Lompoc, California; a brother, Phillip Kraft of Grand Island; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers and one sister.
