Arthur Weldon "A.W." Heider enjoyed gardening, riding tractors and working with computers and electronics. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur H. Heider and brother, Ralph Henry Heider. Survivors include his wife, Helen Heider of Cove; mother, Adela L. Heider of Orange Grove; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Donald Shenk of Hamshire, Sharon and Kevin Smith of Beach City, and Sylvia and Larry Thomas of LaPorte; son, David C. Van Loh, Jr. of Salt Lake City, Utah; brother and sister-in-law, Donald Ray and James Heider of Spring; sisters and brohers-in-law, Ruth Ann and Don Johnson of Hawaii and Adelaide and John Marlatt of Corpus Christi; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
