W. N. JONES elected Steward of the Kimbrough Lodge, A.F. & A.M., per Columbus (GA) Enquirer-Sun newspaper, 13 DEC 1881, p. 4.

"Notes from the Eighth District. Mr. W. N. JONES says he has not had a poorer crop since the year 1839 than he has this year, and Mr. JONES is not alone, as many others are in the same fix." ES 21 SEP 1881, p. 4.

"REAL ESTATE TRANSFERS: Recorded During the Past Month....W. N. JONES to Jno. M. DAVIDSON; lot No. 227 in the 8th district, for $250." ES 01 APR 1883, p. 3.

MUSCOGEE COUNTY: General Presentments of the Grand Jury....The bridges are in good condition generally. We suggest and recommend that a bridge be built across the creek on the middle of Whitesville road near W. N. JONES'. This is a dangerous ford in high water and is now in bad condition." ES 23 JUN 1883, p. 4.

"Administrator's Sale. // Will be sold, in front of the store of Garrett & Sons, on the corner of Broad and Eleventh streets, in the city of Columbus, on the first Tuesday in October next, between the legal hours of sale to the highest bidder, Lot of Land number 226 in the 8th district of Muscogee county, Georgia, containing 202½ acres of land, more or less, sold under an order of the Court of Ordinary of said county as the property of W. N. JONES, deceased. This land lies about ten miles north of Columbus and near Standing Boy creek. Any parties desiring to look at the place, the undersigned will show it to them at any time. Note: This site was surveyed by June and Lewis Hanna in October 1978, and they called it the "Peddy-Jones-Clark Cemetery." To the north of Lulah A. JONES, they reported a flat concrete slab, marked: "William M. H. (or W. N.?) JONES / Age 67" and a concrete slab: Angeline (P.?) / Wife of / W. N. JONES / Age 7 (1?)"

Angelina was raised by her Aunt Rebekah Peddy Clark in Jasper County, GA after her father died.

William Nolan and Angelina Peddy were married Sept. 29, 1841 in Harris County, GA. Their children were Addie Jones (md. Frank Watt), Alma Penelope Jones (md. Hardy Pitts), Barbara Jones (md. George Glenn), Elvira Jones (md. James Jones), David Jones and Whit Jones.
