MRS. IRA CARLTON.
Following an illness of eight weeks, Mrs. Ira Carlton, aged 80 years, died at 9:45 last night at Borgess hospital. She was born in New York state and came to Kalamazoo when three years old. She has made this city her home ever since. For 40 years she was a member of the First Methodist church. A daughter, Mrs. Fred Day, of 1132 Division street; a son, Alvin Cartlton, of 1404 Hays Park court; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive her. Funeral announcement later. OLDEST RESIDENT OF COUNTY DIES
Mrs. Ira Carleton, aged 80 years, probably the oldest resident of the county, died last night at Borgess hospital following an illness of two months. She was born in New York land was a resident of Portage for 77 years. For the past ten years she resided with her daughter. Mrs. F. E. Day. 1113 Division street. She is survived by the daughter and one son, Alvin Carelton, of this city. Eight grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren also survive. The funeral will be held from the Portage M.
