Effie M. Bass, 79, Oronogo route1, died at 6:15 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, after a long illness.
Mrs. Bass was born Sept. 27, 1916, at Doniphan. She moved to the Joplin are from Santa Ana, California in 1968. She was a homemaker.Her husband, Chester L. Bass, died Jan. 3, 1995.
Survivors include a son Charles M. Bass, two daughters Rosalie Ivy, and Louis Hughes, 11 grandchildren, 21 great granchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
