Jackie L. McGoveran, 68, of Branson West, Missouri, died in his home Friday, October 29th, 2010. He was born November 30th, 1941 in Witts Springs, Arkansas to Dexter and Lennie (Carroll) McGoveran.
Jackie was a Church of God minister and pastored several churches in Illinois and Missouri. He was also a drywall worker. Jackie enjoyed fishing and taking his grandchildren out in his boat. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.
Jackie is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steve McGoveran; seven brothers, David, Ralph, Carroll, Clark, Samuel, Royce and Cranfill McGoveran; and four sisters, Florene, Tempest, Alyene and Inez.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Nina (Steen) McGoveran of the home; two sons, Rydell McGoveran and wife Laura of DeForest, Wisconsin and Jeff McGoveran and wife Angie of Festus, Missouri; one daughter, Vivian Martin and husband Lennie of Eucha, Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law, Shannon McGoveran of Magnolia, Texas; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Deborah Nations of Florida. A host of family, friends and neighbors will also mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Jackie will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 1st, 2010 at the Witts Springs Community Church with Rev. Herbert Ward, Rev. Ray Murray and Rev. Lennie Martin officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 12:00 PM until service time at the Witts Springs Church. Burial will follow in the Witts Springs Cemetery. Services are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
