He was born in Goshen, on March 6, 1931, to Charles P. and Helen (Jackson) Aust, Sr.
A lifelong Goshen resident, except for ten years in Phoenix, Arizona, he graduated from Goshen High School and shortly thereafter enlisted and served in the US Air Force.
He was a member of the Goshen VFW, Post #985 and the Goshen DAV, Post #15.
He is survived by a brother, Max Aust of Millersburg and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence, George, Charles, Jr., and William Aust.
Family and friends may gather at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 17. 2007, for military graveside services conducted by Goshen Veterans Organizations and Chaplain Warren Swartz at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
