She is survived by a daughter, Amber Marn, and a son, Justin Marn. No more suffering now that she is in God's loving arms. My dear friend you may be gone, but you are not forgotten.

OBITUARY---Marla Sieving Marn Roeder, age 49, of Red Oak, Iowa was found deceased in her home on October 22, 2010 of an apparent heart attack. Marla was born January 22, 1961 in Clarinda, Iowa the daughter of Wilbur and Jeanette Sieving. The family lived on the family farm until Marla was four years old when they moved into Clarinda where she attended school. Marla loved living in town where she was free to ride her bike and go to the Clarinda swimming pool with friends. Marla was united in marriage to Larry Marn of Corning, Iowa in 1991 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Two children were born of this union: Amber and Justin. She later was united in marriage to Dan Roeder who preceded her in death just a few years after their marriage. Marla liked working with people and spent most of her life involved in the restaurant business. She started as a server with her father who managed the AmVets Club outside of Clarinda. Most recently she had been working for the Rainbow Café in Red Oak for the past five years.

Preceding her in death were her parents: Wilbur Sieving and Jeanette Edwards. Survivors include her children: Amber Marn of Emmetsburg, Iowa and Justin Marn of Corning, Iowa; brother: Gary Sieving and wife Tereasa of Mandeville, Louisiana; and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held 10:30 AM Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Clarinda, Iowa. Burial of the cremated remains will take place in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with a luncheon to follow in the fellowship hall at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the HOPE Ministries in memory of Marla, P.O. Box 862, Des Moines, IA 50304-0862 or at www.plan.gs/Home.do?orgId=5705.
