Memorial services for Mr. Harold Gene Masters, 78, of Lenox, MI, formerly of Overton County, will be conducted at 3 p.m .Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at Aaron's Chapel Church. Burial will follow in Aaron's Chapel Church Cemetery.

Mr. Masters died Thursday, Oct. 4 at his home. He was a retired millwright worker, a member of Millwright Local 1102, and a veteran of the United States Army. His hobbies included fishing, gardening, and feeding the birds.

Born August 25, 1929, in Hilham, he was the son of the late Edward and Savannah (Johnson) Masters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Gladys Pearl Masters.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Rita J. Danforth; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Marlene Masters of Hesperia, CA; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Joseph Bova of Armada, MI; a brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Dewey and Pearl Masters of Cookeville; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Johnny Conner and Connie and Wayne Beechboard, all of Hilham; 5 grandchildren, Denise L. Bova, Jennifer M. Bova, Kathleen M. Brunk and her husband Eric, Colleen M. Bova and Harold Gene Masters II; and 3 great-grandchildren, Savannah N. Bova, Jacob Michael Brunk, and Isabella Gall. (P)
