Funeral services were held Monday morning, October 11, at St. Joseph Church in Geneva for Mrs. John Diederich of Geneva, who passed away Saturday morning, October 9, 1954, at the age of 79 years, and nine months. Death followed a lingering illness.

Anna, daughter of the late Pet and Katherine Hein, was born January 9, 1875 in Manitowac, Wis. She was married to the late John Diederich in Chicago, April 3, 1907. They resided on a farm west of Geneva until 1944 when they moved to Geneva. Mr. Diederich passed away January 17, 1945.

Mrs. Diederich was a charter member of the Stanton Township Woman's Club and always maintained an active interest in the club.

Rosary was recited at Hrubesky-Farmer Funeral Home in Geneva Sunday, October 10, 1954. Rev. Paul Ulenberg officiated at the Requiem mass and also conducted graveside services. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery at Geneva. Pallbearers were John Carl, William E. Lauenstein, Edward Lauenstein, William Marson, W. C. Nelson and John R. Weis.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John Reinsch of Geneva; two sons, Philip of Geneva and Paul of Denver; two grandchildren, Steven Diederich of Geneva and Peggy Sue Diederich of Denver and many other relatives.
