Willie Mae Garner, 84, of Kingsland, died March 9, 2001, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff.

She was born, April 9, 1916, in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Lee Ashlock and Mamie Thompson Ashlock.

She attended First Baptist Church at Kingsland and Kingsland Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lavois Veasey; and a great-grandson.

Survivors include three daughters, DeLawis Noyola of Oakland, California, Carolyn McKinney of Kingsland and Sue
Tate of Greenbrier (Faulkner County); three sons, James A. Garner of Malvern and Curtis Garner and Norris Garner, both of Kingsland; four sisters, Mary Bell Anderson of Warren, Dovie Nowlin and Nyla Beard,both of Kingsland, and Marie Huffstafler of Tyler, Texas; and 12 grandchildren; 10
great- grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the Benton Funeral Home at Fordyce with the Rev. Harry Puterbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Kingsland Cemetery.
