Died at Mt. Vernon
Mrs. Elizabeth Cortright, widow of the late Butler Cortright, of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., died Sunday afternoon after an illness of three days. Mrs. Cortright was 77 years old. She formerly lived in East Mauch Chunk, in what is Known as the old Kannapel house, on Lehigh Street. Her husband was the well known gardner for Thos. Foster. He is dead about 17 years. About ten years ago Mrs. Cortright Went to Mt. Vernon, where she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. J. H. Byron. She is survived by five sons and one daughter, Henry, Herman and Jacob, of Mt. Vernon, N.Y. Ira of Stroudsburg and Illman, of East Mauch Chunk, and Mrs. J. H. Byron, of Mt. Vernon. The arrangements for the funeral are not known. The remains will be buried in the family plot in Upper Mauch Chunk
