COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Ova Jane Ballard Anderson, 88, of Bloomington Springs, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, at Cookeville Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 17, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Anderson died on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born on June 28, 1913, in Jackson County to the late Layton and Ova D. Ballard. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Bloomington Springs Church of Christ.
Her family includes seven brothers, Burt and Hollis Ballard, both of Roseville, Mich., Mitchell and Glenous B. Ballard, both of Cookeville, Carlos (Jack) Ballard of Baxter, and Cecil and Johnny Ballard, both of Gainesboro; two sisters, Willie Ballard of Bloomington Springs, and Marie Martin of Gainesboro; a special niece and greatnephew,
Carol Maberry of Cookeville, and Jason Jackson of Bloomington Springs; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thona Anderson; three brothers, Joe, Fred and Encil Ballard; and a special nephew, Daryl Maberry.
