Young Allen, who died at age 8 from "Auto intoxication", was buried in an unmarked grave near his parents, Charlie and Ida Jeffords Alexander, in the old Thornal Cemetery section of this cemetery at Pine Grove UMC.

In the census records at the time Allen was living, his home is described as being in the Ebenezer community of Florence County, which today is just outside of Timmonsville. Today, when people think of Ebenezer, they think of it as being outside of, and next to the city of Florence.

Florence proper is about 13 miles from Timmonsville. Ebenezer was a really large area back in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Both the Timmonsville and the city of Florence are in Florence County.
