Reeda Fay Glisson Resident of Castro Valley Reeda, 83, died April 21, 2010, of complications of a stroke at Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville, CA. Mrs. Glisson was born September 14, 1926, in Bowie, Texas, to Todd Carver of Texas and Nannie Dempsey Carver of Arkansas. She was the youngest of twelve children, six sisters and five brothers. In 1941 she married Eugene Glisson. She was a homemaker until Gene's death in 1979. After his death she became a bank teller at Central Bank in Pleasanton for many years. She and Gene lived in many different cities in the Bay Area including Livermore, Hayward, and Castro Valley being her last home before moving to Susanville to be close to family. Her final home was Eagle Lake Village, Assisted Living. She enjoyed playing cards, games, puzzles and dominos. Additionally she loved to cook and was known for her delicious candy she made around the holidays. Reeda is survived by many nieces and nephews scattered through various parts of California and the rest of the United States. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 28th, at 11:00 am at the Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park & Funeral Home 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward CA 510-471-3363.
