This record shows that Owen's father was born in Delaware, bur his mother's birth place was not given; Susan's parents were born in Virginia; and the children's parents were born in Kentucky.

Owen Ellegood and Susan Catherine Yates were married on December 29, 1862, probably in Grayson County, Kentucky. Their known children born in Grayson Counry were:

Susan C. Ellegood died on November 12, 1897. She was buried in the Shrewsbury Cemetery in Shrewsbury, Grayson County, Kentucky. It is probable that the following Kentucky Death Record is for her husband Owen Ellegood. Although his age at death does not agree with his date of birth given as January 11, 1829. It is not unusual for ages to be mis-stated for very elderly seniors. Using his birth date and the death given in this record, Owen Ellegood would have died at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 24 days.
