Clyde Raymond Meyers was born on May 9, 1928, in Turkey River Junction, Iowa, the son of John "Ed" and Grace (Cole) Meyers. Clyde was educated in Clayton County Rural School. Clyde was united in marriage to Mary Jane Thomas on November 16, 1951, in Edgewood. He died at the Edgewood Convalescent Home on Tuesday, October 26, 2010.
Clyde served honorably in the U.S. Army. After his tour of duty he returned to farm northeast of Edgewood. He retired from farming in 1976 and built a home near Wood Center.
Clyde drove school bus for 33 years for the Edgewood-Colesburg School District. He was a 50 plus year member of the Masons.
