From Holland St. John - "Winona (family members referred to her as "Nona") was the youngest daughter of John Jay and Mary Anne (Guin) Freeman and was born on the family farm located near the town of Linden, Linn Township, Dallas County, Iowa. She was born in the afternoon of January 10, 1877 at the Freeman home. Her cousin Robert Freeman St John (Elmena Freeman St John's son) had established a farm in Linn Township and this most likely was the reason that her father moved there from Lynn County, Kansas in 1873. Winona had one brother and two sisters: Llewellyn Guin (who was seventeen when he died of tuberculosis), Eleanor Maria and Anna Elmena. The family lived in Linn County, Iowa for six years and on February 12, 1880, when Winona was three years of age, moved once again, this time to the city of Des Moines, Iowa. After several other moves over the next several years, they settled at Denver, Colorado. Winona married Oscar Leroy Andrew in 1904 at Denver, Colorado. Oscar was born Septemer 11, 1878. Winona was the only child of John and Mary Anne to marry. She and Oscar had no children. Both of them were school teachers. In her later years, she moved to the Pacific Northwest to be with her two sisters and she was living with Eleanor and Anna when she passed away on Friday, August 28, 1970 at Seattle, Washington. She was ninety-three years of age. She had fallen and broken her hip the first of August and soon went into a coma from which she never awoke. She and Oscar are both buried in the Masonic Section of Crown Hill Cemetery, Wheat Ridge, Jefferson County, Colorado. (Not to be confused with the Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver. Her parents, brother and two sisters are interred in the Riverside Cemetery in Denver.)"
