North - Ada Vondell Jeffcoat, 85, of North, died Sunday, May 14, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 Tuesday, May 16, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with the Rev. Blaine Hudson and the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Mrs. Jeffcoat was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Julian H. and Ada Debbie Cook Hughes. She was retired from Stone Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Group of Pelion. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and the Ladies Sunday School class. She was an artist and enjoyed painting. She was married to the late Sumpter Brantley Jeffcoat Sr. Survivors include two daughters,Carolyn E. Whetstone, of Columbia and Martha Reyna, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Buddy Jeffcoat, of Neeses; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home and other times at the home of Carolyn Whetstone 210 Salem Branch Road, North.
