Catherine Landis born Feb. 18, 1816 in Pa. a daug. of David Landis and Barbara. On Sept 6, 1835, she married Henry Metzger at Miami County, Ohio. To this union 11 children were born: David L.; Mary; Barbara; Hannah; Susanna; Jacob B.; John; Moses; Nancy; Daniel and Samuel L. Henry Metzger died in 1865 afterwhich she married David Shively on Feb. 2, 1872. Catherine Landis Metzger Shively died April 4, 1889 and was interred at Bear Creek, Montgomery Co., Ohio.
