Vesta came from Rhea County, TN, as a new bride, and she and Sam made their home in West Plains, MO, after their marriage in Rhea County, TN, on September 12, 1887. They moved into the log house in which Sam had been born on the expansive Galloway homestead. They later built a large, white frame house on the Galloway property and farmed the land for 39 years. In 1926, they moved into a newly built three bedroom home in the town of West Plains on Minnesota Avenue.
