Leon O. Smith of 1718 Pinckney Park Drive, a retired railroad mechanic for Seaboard Coastline Railroad, died Sunday in a local hospital.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Smith was born Aug. 19, 1907, in Savannah, Ga., a son of Jesse Jackson Smith and Daisey Scholl Smith. He was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife, Edna Johnson Smith.
