He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Manassas, Virginia and a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Bishop J. Louis Flaherty Assembly #1678, Manassas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from the federal government after 35 years of service. Frank was well known for his sense of humor, and was a presence in any room in which he entered.
He was preceded in death by one son, Daniel J. O'Neill.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Alice O'Neill; his children, Margaret A. Jones, Kathleen M. Norris, Theresa A. Shuart, Michael P. O'Neill, Patricia M. Sheffield and Sharon F. Hudson; his sister Ann B. Wraase; twenty-five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010 at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas with Rev. Robert C. Cilinski officiating. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Virginia.
