Richard Saxon Wisenbaker died at the age of forty one. He never married. According to his nephew, Louis Byrd Wisenbaker, he had very poor eyesight. He said he had a very large pocket watch that he held right up to his eye to determine what time it was.
He was buried at Sunset Cemetery in the same plot as his parents.
