Agnes, her mother, both sets of grandparents, various uncles and aunts from both sides of the family, siblings John, Margaret, and Thomas all immigrated to the United States. They left Glasgow aboard the SS Columbia on December 16, 1905. They arrived in the port of New York on December 25, 1905. Her father, Henry, had arrived in the US in October but traveled from Tennessee to meet his family when they arrived in New York.
On August 5, 1914 in White County, Tennessee, Agnes married James Thom. The Thom Family and the Chittick Family were both friends and neighbors in Scotland and Tennessee.
They had three children, Margaret, George and Harriett.
Aunt Agnes was my great-Aunt and I have many fond memories of her.
