Mrs. Holtgreive, daughter of the late Henry and Sophie Rosendahl, nee Strehlmann was born June 30, 1896, at Leslie. She was baptized July 3, 1898, and confirmed on April 20, 1910, at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Beaufort.
November 27, 1919, she was married to William G. Holtgreive. After marriage, the couple established residence in Washington. This marriage was blessed with one son, whom she leaves to survive.
November 27, 1984, Mr. and Mrs. Holtgreive observed their 65th Wedding Anniversary.
Mrs. Holtgreive was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, William G. Holtgreive on January 15, 1986; two sisters, Anna Buckmeier and Clara Schroeder; and three brothers, Louis, Fred and Edwin Rosendahl.
She is survived by: one son, Kenneth F. Holtgreive of St. Louis; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Adele Vitt, Washington; one brother-in-law; two nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 12, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Washington, with the Rev. Arthur Square and Rev. Ron Hilmer, officiating. Interment was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Washington.
The Holtgreive Family was served by the Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
