Cohoes, NY — Beatrice C. Fonda, 64, of 91 Central Ave., a homemaker and wife of Earl Fonda, died Thursday at Cohoes Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in Cohoes, she was daughter of Corinne Galarneau (Garneau) Hamel of Cohoes and the late John Cusack. Mrs. Fonda was a resident of the city most of her life and a communicant of St. Bernard's Church in Cohoes. Survivors, in addition to her mother and husband, include two daughters, Margaret Hebert of North Tonawanda and Susan C. Wallen of Watervliet; two sons, Technical Sgt. Earl E. Fonda, with the U.S. Air Force at San Antonio, Texas, and Staff Sgt.David M. Fonda, with the U.S. Air Force at Mississippi; two sisters, Eleanor DeProperty of Clifton Park and Lorraine Walsh of Cohoes; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd. in Cohoes, and at 10:30 a.m. from St Bernard's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered.
