Mrs. Sampson Thomas Passed Away at Home in Union Township
Mrs. Sampson Thomas, aged 68, died at her home in Union township this morning at 5 o'clock after suffering several years from a tumor. Although it was known that she would not long survive, the death was rather unexpected at this time. The funeral will be held Saturday morning from Zanesville.
The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel D. Caley. She was born in Huntington county. About forty-eight years ago she was united in marriage to Simeon Kohr. Her husband only lived five years after the marriage, leaving her a widow, with two children, a son and a daughter. Three years later she was married to Sampson Thomas, who survives her. Since her first marriage she had lived in Union township, Wells county.
Surviving her are her husband, one son, Jacob Kohr, by her first marriage, one daughter, Mrs. W. A. Smith, by her first marriage, and two sons by her second marriage, Lewis Thomas and Monroe Thomas.
