Hannibal, MO —

Milton L. "Bud" Worthen, 92, of Hannibal, died at 11:47 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Father Mike Quinn will officiate.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
A Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2010, at Holy Family Church in Granite City, Ill. Father Brunette will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Granite City.
Mr. Worthen was born June 27, 1917, in Granite City, Ill., to William M. and Mary A. Benson Worthen.
He was married to Leitha Swigert on June 19, 1937, in Granite City, Ill. She survives.
Other survivors include three children, Gloria Hays of Hannibal, Mary Beth Cheney of Monroe City and Milton Worthen Jr. of El Segundo, Calif.; three sisters, Helen Geroff of Granite City, Ill., Dorothy Petroff of the state of Florida, Geraldine Reber of Granite City, Ill., and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Nancy Jo Worthen; one sister, Marie Curry; and three brothers, William, Paul and James Worthen.
Mr. Worthen was a maintenance machinist supervisor at Anheuser-Busch for 32 years. He loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed growing roses and other flowers. Bud enjoyed playing cards and loved to remodel. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Granite City for more than 50 years. Mr. Worthen was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
