My grandfather, Ward A. Young and his second wife, Juanita Neighbors (Young) are buried here. Ward Young was a well known figure in Willits, he was in Real Estate, and then a Barber in the town. He was the youngest of nine children and the last to survive, to the age of 95. He was of Scotish-Irish descent, his father born in Scotland, his mother in Ireland. He became a charter member of the Willits Lions Club, managed the Willits town baseball team, served as president of the Mendocino County Real Estate Board, and over the years became a much loved figure in within the the community of Willits.
