Katherina, the daughter of Johan Georg Junker, was born in either 1855 according to the family biography or in 1854 according to her Texas Death Certificate. On the 4th of April of 1875, Katherina married Johann Georg (George) Afflerbach in Meyersville, DeWitt County, Texas. They were the parents of nine children: Louis H., Anna Johanna Katherina, Frederick (Fritz), Carolina S., Emil F., Friedericke Sophie Julianne, Wilhelm Friedrich Edwin, Edward Charles and Berthold Henry.
