Hubert F. Maxwell, 89, formerly of Remington, died at 11:15 a.m. Friday in George Ade Memorial Hospital, Brook, where he had been a patient six weeks.
Born in Francesville, on Feb. 19, 1890, he was married to Ethel Jordan in 1915; she died in 1978.
He had farmed in White County from 1946-1956 at which time he retired and moved to Remington.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lee.
Surviving are one son, Paul Maxwell, of Remington, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildreen. He was preceded in death by one daughter.
Funeral services will be conducted from Stitz Funeral Home, Remington, at 2 p.m. (EST) Tuesday. Interment will follow in Remington Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.(EST) Monday.
