Mayme Lillian Lande was born in Washington to Jacob Lande, who passed away before Mayme was two, and Lizzie née Palo.

Mayme wed Mr Webster Orance in 1916, no marriage license has been found yet, but later Census records and the birth of their first child in 1917 indicate 1916. They became parents to daughters Virginia, born 1917; Myrna, born 1919; and Anna, born 1926.

Mayme filed for a "Delayed Birth Certificate" in 1954. By that time, she was Mrs. Mayme Lillian Lande Hill (much running in circles to find the correct Mr. Hill), which may explain differing birth dates seen in different documents for her - but the Delayed Birth Certificate names the same parents for her, Jacob Lande and Lizzie Palo, both born in Finland. That document also states that she was born in Carbonado, Pierce County, Washington, where she also is seen in the 1900 Census.

After the loss of Webster, Mayme married a Mr. Hill in 1952, and she passed away in June, 1971.
