Wilma G. Thompson, 99, of Vandalia, died at 11:55 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Temple Baptist Church in Vandalia, with the Revs. Francis Hudson and Loren File officiating. Burial will be in Noffsinger Cemetery in rural Mulberry Grove. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the church. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Temple Baptist Church or Fayette County Health Department Hospice.
Mrs. Thompson was born on April 12, 1911, in Seminary Township, Fayette County, the daughter of William Clayton and Mary Margaret Heather Cripe. She married Lowell F. Hudson in 1928; he died in 1970. She married Benjamin C. Thompson on Feb. 20, 1977; he died on Aug. 6, 1988.
