Emil Alvin Anderson, 82, Ripon, died Friday, April 14, 1995, at Ripon Medical Center.

He was born March 8, 1913, to Peter & Mathilda (Thompson) Anderson in Sturgeon Bay, WI. On January 18, 1936, he married Edna Esther Jacob at Sturgeon Bay. While living in Sturgeon Bay, Emil worked at the shipyard and West Side Hardware. In 1959 moved to Ripon where he started up and installed heating systems for Condon Oil Co. He later was a salesman for Service and Supply of Appleton. Mr. Anderson was a member of Mount Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ripon.

Survived by his wife, Edna; children, Fay (Douglas) Cochenet of Sturgeon Bay, Gordon (Sylvia) Anderson of Ripon, Gloria (Roger) Kintopf of Pickett, and Sue (David) Belter of Pickett. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons, 1 brother, Peary (Connie) Anderson and 1 sister, Lucille (John) Miller, both of Sturgeon Bay. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services for the late Emil Anderson will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, April 18 at Mount Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ripon. The Rev. David Haberkorn will officiate. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake.

The family will receive friends Monday evening, April 17, 1995, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. A memorial has been established.
