Mr. Joseph Holt, one of the best known and most highly esteemed resident of Tiverton Township, arose early Thursday morning of last week in his usual health, went to the pasture field after the cows and upon his return complained of feeling very ill and went up stairs and laid down on this bed. A physician was phoned for but, before his arrival, Mr. Holt had departed this life for a better. His age was about 67 years. He died in the same house in which he was born. Five full-grown children and his mother, aged 90 years survive him, who is in very feeble health. The wife of the deceased died several years ago. The funeral exercise over Mr. Holt's remains took place Sunday forenoon at the Baptist Chapel and interment was made in the burial ground adjoining the church.
