Oroville Mercury, Friday Evening, October 20, 1922, pg 1 col 2: Warren J. Austin, Dies In Thermalito. Warren Jones Austin, aged 76 years who for 19 years has been a resident of Thermalito, died last night at 10 o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alfred Chase. Mr. Austin has many warm friends in this district. He was a native of New York and a member of the Modern Woodman of America camp at Santa Rosa.

Mr. Austin, who had many staunch friends in this section, was a native of New York state.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Austin, of Thermalito; a brother, E.D. Austin, of San Diego, and his daughter, Mrs. Chase.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 10 o’clock from Hamilton and Riley’s. Interment will be in the Oroville cemetery.
