Alse Gardner, daughter of Benjamin Gardner and Elizabeth Olin, married Justus Brockway in 1772, and they had 11 children (5 girls and 6 boys) between 1773 and 1801, probably all born in Stephentown, NY. Her husband, 3 of her brothers, and probably her father, all served in the 4th regiment of the Albany County (New York) Militia during the Revolutionary War.
