Albert Dwaine Douglas, Sr., 61, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in a Saint Joseph, MO hospital.

He was born November 7, 1948 in Marysville, KS, son of Alice and Charles Douglas. He graduated with an associate's degree from Northwest Community College.

He married Karen Hunt on January 24, 1970 and she survives of the home.

He retired from AGP after 29 years of service. He also was a driver for Breadoux Pizza, and All American Cab Company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading sci-fi books. He was active in scouting, arts and crafts, and started a art club at the nursing home, and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, four grandchildren, a brother, Bruce Douglas, and a step sister, Janice Fisher.

Survivors include wife, Karen Douglas of the home, three daughters, Christa Banchs of St. Joseph, Stephanie West of Independence, MO, and Michelle Cameron and husband Paul of Overland Park, KS, two sons, Albert Douglas Jr. of St. Joseph, MO, and Michael Douglas and wife Dotie of St. Joseph, MO, four grandchildren; Jasmine, Jacob, Alex, and Hadley, and a sister, Carol Phillips of St. Joseph, MO.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., at the Rupp Funeral Home, Pastor Eric Vail officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The interment will be at the Marysville Cemetery, Marysville, Kansas.
