ALLEN, Bradley James - Age 59, of Tawas, formerly of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, December 5, 2009 in Venice, FL. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek with Pastor Peggy Norton officiating. Visitation will be held 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Tidewell Hospice 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34238. Bradley was born June 29, 1950 in Flint, the son of Robert Carl and Barbara Anne (Rhyme) Allen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during Vietnam. Bradley retired from General Motors Truck and Bus as a Millwright. He was a member of the Eagles, the V.F.W. and Harley Owners Group. Surviving are: two daughters, Laura (Shawn) Sturgill of Venice, FL and Angie (Matt) Ludwig of Swartz Creek; two grandchildren, Mallory Ludwig and Dylan Sturgill; brother, Alan Allen of Flint; beloved faithful companion, Vicki McDonald. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
