His services were at the Metcalf Chapel of the Pines on Thursday, November 2, 1972 at 2:00 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Addie Lou Howard of Conroe Texas. Two sons: Milton Howard and Charles Howard, both of Conroe, Texas. Four daughters: Mrs Louise Johnson of Livingston, Texas, Mrs. Jewell Kelley, Mrs. Evelyn Gibson and Mrs. Lou Ellen Swanson, all of Conroe, Texas. Two brothers: Jesse Howard of Atlanta Texas and John Rozell of Buffalo, Texas. Two sisters: Mrs. Katy Gibbs of Conroe, Texas and Mrs. Gertrude Davis of Houston, Texas. Sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Rev. Raymond Blount of Mims Memorial Baptist Church officiated. Final resting place for Mr. Howard is Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Howard, Jimmy Howard, Berle Johnson, Sammy Kelley, Curtis Greening and John Curry.
