Ardmore — Byrdie M. "Dean" Crabaugh, 84, passed away Monday, October 18, 2010, at Arlington, Texas. Services will be Friday, October 22, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Griffin-Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Ardmore, Okla., with the Reverend Dwayne Duck and the Reverend Jim Duck officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore, Okla.

Dean was born May 19, 1926, in Love County, Okla., to Lemual Roberts and Lula (Williams) Roberts.

She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church.

She enjoyed shopping, gardening, quilting and caring for her dogs. She enjoyed most of all visiting with her neighbors. Dean was employed for 20 plus years by Wal-Mart and the last 24 years was a foster grandparent in the Ardmore School System. She was admired and loved by students and her co-workers. She was truly "Grandma" to her students.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; four sisters; and her beloved husband, Clay Crabaugh.

Byrdie is survived by two sons, Tom Geesaman and wife, Betty of Arlington, Texas, and Doug Geesaman and wife, Linda of Goddard, Kansas; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; a "special" friend Leona Wright; and her faithful dog, Katie.

Serving as pallbearers will be three grandsons; Jason Geesaman, Daniel Geesaman and Tim Geesaman. Others serving will be Ron Miller, Blake Michaels and Hale Stromberg.
