Max was born under the name Albert Max Seifert in Lengenfeld, im Vogtland, Sachsen, Germany. He immigrated to the USA on the 20th of May 1892 on the ship Scandia from Hamburg to Baltimore at the age of 14. He next appears in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1901 at which time he married Eva Enro McCandless. They had 4 children. They divorced and in 1910 he is found in Yuvapai, Arizona working as a miner. In 1912 he is in Pope County, IL and marries Lura Wallace Wasson, a widow with 4 children. She died in 1939 and he married again in 1940. Malley Etta Reynolds was a widow from her first marriage, and married twice more before marrying Max. In 1944 Max died of acute indigestion. Sunset Hill in Saline County, Il is the burial place on death record though his grave has never been found nor has his name been found in the burial records there.
