Mrs. L. Medley Passed Away
Funeral services for Mrs Lena Medley, age 71, were held at the Karrmann Funeral Home at 2:30 Sunday Nov 22. Rev Lester Dunwiddie officiated. Burial was in Platteville Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Medley passed away Thursday at her home at 900 N Second St, very unexpectedly.
Born on a farm in Ellenboro Township, Grant County, Mrs. Medley grew up there and lived there until after her marriage to Mr Clarence Medley, who passed away in December of 1950. After their marriage they lived on the Medley home farm for 43 years before moving to the City of Platteville about 10 years ago.
Mrs. Medley was a member of the Lima-Union Church.
Surviving are one son, Guerdon Medley, Platteville; three daughters, Mrs. M.J. Quirk and Mrs. Leonard Clements, Platteville and Mrs. Earl Voss of Cobb; one sister Mrs. W.F. McCormick of Madison; one brother, Irvin Frye, Montfort; eleven grandchild and two great grandchildren.
