Funeral services for John H. Riney, 84, of St. Patrick, who died Friday, Nov. 29, in St. Joseph hospital in Keokuk, were held Monday in the Shrine of St. Patrick Church. The Rev. Fred Yehle officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Riney was born in St. Patrick April 26, 1890, a son of George and Mary Owsley Riney. He was a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick and the Knights of Columbus. He married Kathryn McGuire Sept. 23, 1912. She died Sept. 3, 1951. Surviving are two sons, Donald and James, both of St. Patrick; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Margaret Merrell of St. Patrick; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
