After their marriage the couple will be at home in Dodge City where they are both employed by Santa Fe railroad.

NEWTON - Edith Peterson, 52, died Monday at Behel Deconess Hospital, Newton. Born Edith Raner July 23, 1925 at Granada, Colo., she was married to Melvin C. Peterson Dec. 30, 1955 at Larned. He died April 19, 1976. She was a bookkeeper for Crossroads Co-op, Newton. she lived here most of her life.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Newton.
Survivors include son: Dennis G., Colby; daughter; Cindy S., Newton; sister: Mrs. Hazel Blackmore; half-sister: Mrs. Mildred Blanche, Republic, Mo.; brother: John Raner, Newton; mother: Mrs. Mable Raner, Sublette.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. thursday at Peterson Chapel, Newton; Rev. Gerald Housh. Burial will be in Restlawn Gardens of Memory, Newton, Friends may call Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.
