Luther Edward Harvill, Sr., 79, of Iowa Park, died Sunday in a Wichita Falls hospital.

Services will be at 1:30PM, Tuesday in Hampton-Vaughan Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Stein, pastor of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be in Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park.

Harvill was born May 19, 1900, in Forestburg, Texas. He was a retired Mobil Oil Co. employee, retiring in 1959 after 28 years of service. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, a charter member of Government Wells AF & AM Lodge No. 1275 in Freer, Texas; Fellowship Lodge No. 1385 AF & AM in Odessa, Texas; Sam J. Helm Council No. 363, R & SM, El Maida Shrine Temple of El Paso, Texas; El Paso Scottish Rite and numerous other service organizations.

Survivors include a son, L.E. Harvill, Jr. of Iowa Park; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Salmon of Corpus Christi, Texas; three brothers, L.M. Harvill of Nederland, Texas, E.C. Harvill of Freer, Texas and R.A. Harvill of Portland, Texas; and one grandchild.

The family requests that memorials be made to CONCERN information and listening service or to the donor's favorite charity.

Pallbearers will be Ray Harvill, Randy Gibson, Sherman T. Lindley III, Mark Lindley, Joe Harris N.G. Morton and Sherman Calloway.
