Our beloved brother Dave Cons passed away on Monday, October 8th in Anaheim, CA, just five days after his 31st birthday from pneumonia.
He is survived by his wife Krista, his son Christopher, and daughter Madeline, all of Anaheim, CA. David also left behind his father Jesus Cons and mother Betty Baumgardner, both of Spokane, WA; siblings Miguel, Veronica, Teresa, and Christina Cons, all of Spokane, and sister Andrea Cons of Irvine, CA; and his nephews David and Kevin Cons of Spokane.
David attended both St. Michael's and Rogers High Schools in Spokane and after graduation enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he rose to the rank of Sargeant and served on an Asian-Persian Gulf tour for four years.
David then settled in Southern California, where he met his wife and started his own family. David attended Cal State Fullerton University, where he received his B.A. degree in science and obtained his teaching credentials from Cal State Dominguez Hills University. He concluded his education with a master's in special education.
For the last five years, David was a special education high school teacher and volleyball coach. He recently began coaching for the basketball team, as well. David was respected and admired by many, and he will be missed terribly. He excelled at everything he did in life and left an impression on everyone who knew him.
For those who wish to pay their respects, a viewing will be held on Friday, October 19th from 4 pm - 8 pm at the Fairhaven Memorial Park and Mortuary located at 1702 Fairhaven Avenue in Santa Ana, CA, and a Celebration of David's Life will be held on Saturday, October 20th at 11 am at the Knott Avenue Christian Church at 315 Knott Avenue in Anaheim, CA. David will be laid to rest on Monday, October 22 at 10 am at the Riverside National Cemetery. We miss you and love you, Son and Brother. Dad, Mom, Christina, Andrea, Teresa, Miguel and Veronica.
