An obituary for Mrs. Ella Kearney, daughter of Esquire James T. Warren and wife of William A. Kearney, stated that she had died at her home at Menard, April 11, 1911. Funeral and burial services were held at Sand Creek Church of Christ, conducted by Elder D. Austin Sommer of Indianapolis, assisted by Elder J. V. Brady. Mrs. Kearney was in her 31st year and had been a member of the Sand Creek Church since the age of 15. She had been married to Mr. Kearney for about eight years. Surviving besides her husband and father, were two brothers, Fred of Mattoon and Max of Tamaroa; and two sisters, Mrs. Della [J. C.] Dawdy and Edna, both of Bruce. Windsor Gazette – 13 Apr 1911
