Mrs. E. Savoie Funeral Tuesday
Church Point, Louisiana
Funeral services will be held Tuesday (July 17, 1973) at 10 a.m. for Mrs Essie "Red" Savoie, 59, the former Edna Leger of the Mire community. Services will be at the Assumption Catholic Church in Mire.

She died at 9:45 a.m. Sunday at her home. Burial will be in the church mausoleum directed by Guidry Funeral Home of Church Point.

Survivors include her widower Essie Joseph Savoie of Mire; one son, John of Lafayette; two daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Clara) Richard of Scott, and Mrs. Roosevelt (Bernita) Bearb of Church Point; four brothers, Maurice Leger of Church Point, Julian Leger and David, both of Lafayette, and Moise Leger of Bristol; four sisters Mrs. Clesme Mayeaux of Lafayette, Mrs. Francis Lalonde of Opelousas, Mrs. Helena Thibodeaux of New Orleans, Mrs. Victorian Miller of Port Neches, Texas and eight grandchildren.
